Out-of-state acupuncturists can teach without a Hawaii license

An acupuncturist licensed in another state or country can give demonstrations or lectures at acupuncture or medical society meetings or at acupuncture schools in Hawaii without getting a Hawaii license. This exemption only covers those teaching activities, not practicing acupuncture generally.

A licensed acupuncturist of another state or country for demonstrations or lectures to be given at acupuncture or medical society meetings or at acupuncture schools shall be exempt from licensing procedures set forth in this chapter.
