When the director can check a promoter's records

If a licensed mixed martial arts promoter does not send in a required report on time, does not follow the rules, or sends a report the director does not like, the director can have the promoter's books and records checked. The promoter has to pay for this check.

The statute, as written — Failure to report receipts

Whenever any promoter holding a license to conduct, hold, or give mixed martial arts contests fails to timely submit a report of any contest or comply with the requirements of this chapter, or whenever the report is unsatisfactory to the director, the director at the licensee's expense, may examine or cause to be examined, the books and records of the promoter.
