Existing electrologist licenses are grandfathered in

People who already had a valid electrologist license from the health department and were working the day before June 25, 1990, automatically get a license under this law on that date. They do not need to take an exam.

The statute, as written — License without necessity of examination

All persons holding valid licenses as electrologists from the department of health and practicing on the day prior to June 25, 1990, shall be considered licensed under this chapter on June 25, 1990, without necessity of examination.
