Fees for licenses and renewals

This section sets fees for applying, taking exams, getting a license, temporary permits, and renewals. The fees are set by state rules, and you must pay for each retake. Application fees cannot be refunded, and licenses expire on June 30 of even-numbered years.

Application, examination, license, temporary permit, and biennial renewal fees shall be as provided in rules adopted by the director of commerce and consumer affairs pursuant to chapter 91. A fee is required for each reexamination. Application fees are not refundable. Licenses shall expire on June 30 of each even-numbered year.
