Fines for breaking this law
If you break this law, you will pay a fine. The first time you break it, the fine is up to $500. If you break it again, the fine can be up to $1,000, and you could also go to jail for up to one year.

Any person who violates this chapter shall be fined not more than $500 for a first offense. For each subsequent offense the person shall be fined not more than $1,000, or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.
