Who approves official bonds for county officials

The statute, as written — Approval of bonds

The sufficiency of the bonds of the members of the several councils and the mayor of the city and county of Honolulu shall be approved by a judge of the circuit court having jurisdiction over or within the county, and all other bonds shall be approved as to sufficiency by the officer with whom the same are required to be deposited.
