Detective and guard pay rules for restitution

Detectives and guards cannot be paid with promissory notes or property taken from suspects or others as restitution, unless that property is the allegedly stolen item itself. This rule limits how they can be compensated for their work.

Compensation for services of detectives or guards shall not be based upon promissory notes or property other than that allegedly stolen which have been obtained from suspects or others in their behalf as restitution.
