Getting payment records and receipts for credit purchases

If you buy something on credit and ask in writing, the company holding your contract must send you a statement showing your payment dates, amounts, and what you still owe. If you pay in cash, you must get a written receipt at the time you pay.

Upon written request from the buyer, the holder of a credit sale contract shall give or forward to the buyer a written statement of the dates and amounts of payments and the total amount unpaid under the contract. A buyer shall be given a written receipt for any payment when made in cash.
