Fines for athlete agents who break the rules

The state's director can fine an athlete agent up to $50,000 for breaking this law. The money goes into a special state fund. These fines add to any other penalties under other laws.

The statute, as written — Civil penalty

The director may assess a civil penalty against an athlete agent not to exceed $50,000 for a violation of this chapter. Fines shall be deposited with the director to the credit of the compliance resolution fund pursuant to section 26-9(o). Unless otherwise expressly provided, the remedies or penalties provided by this chapter are cumulative to each other and to the remedies or penalties available under all other laws of this State.
