Liability for fraudulent registration

If you knowingly put false or fraudulent information in registration documents filed with the director, you can be held responsible for any damages that result. A court will decide the amount. This section only covers that liability.

The statute, as written — Liability for fraudulent registration

Any person who knowingly makes a false or fraudulent representation or declaration in registration documents filed with the director shall be liable for all damages sustained as a result of the registration documents as determined by a court of competent jurisdiction.
