Reporting suspected financial abuse of elders or vulnerable adults

If you are a qualified person and think an elder or vulnerable adult may be being financially exploited, you must tell the commissioner right away. This section only sets up that reporting duty.

The statute, as written — Governmental disclosures

If a qualified person reasonably believes that financial exploitation of an elder or a vulnerable adult may have occurred, may have been attempted, or is being attempted, the qualified person shall promptly notify the commissioner.
