State testing of measurement tools at funded institutions

The state's measurement standards branch must regularly test all measuring devices used to check supplies at institutions that get state money. They report their findings in writing to the institution's board and top officer.

The department, through the measurement standards branch, shall from time to time test all measures used in establishing or verifying any other measurement, including any measure or measurement standard used in checking the receipt or disbursement of supplies in every institution for the maintenance of which moneys are appropriated by the legislature, reporting its findings, in writing, to the supervisory board and to the executive officer of the institution concerned.
