Unit price on random-weight packages

This section adds a labeling rule for random-weight packages. If a package in a lot of the same product shows the total selling price, it must also clearly show the price per single unit of measure, as set by the board's rules.

The statute, as written — Declarations of unit price on random packages

In addition to the declarations required by section 486-111, any package that is one of a lot containing random measure of the same commodity and that bears the total selling price of the package, shall bear on the outside of the package a plain and conspicuous declaration of the price per single unit of measure, as established by rule of the board.
