Electronic records by government agencies

Each state government agency decides for itself whether and how much it will use electronic records, including turning paper records into electronic ones. This section only gives agencies that choice; it does not set any rules for the public.

Each governmental agency of this State shall determine whether, and the extent to which, it will create and retain electronic records and convert written records to electronic records.
