Rules for selling adult products in public view

This law says that any store selling adult entertainment products to the public must keep those products hidden from view outside the store and from areas where other products are sold. They must also keep them separate from other products. Violators pay a fine.

The statute, as written — Sale of adult entertainment products; view

(a) Any person or business selling adult entertainment products on premises open to the general public shall: (1) Obscure the adult entertainment products from view from any location off the premises; (2) Segregate the adult entertainment products from other products sold on the premises, if any; and (3) Obscure the adult entertainment products from view from any location on the premises where other products are sold by use of a curtain, screen, or other device. (b) For the purposes of this section: "Adult entertainment product" means any merchandise that is pornographic as defined in section 712-1210. "Premises" means any building, structure, or place, or any separate part or portion thereof. (c) Any person who violates this section shall be fined $100 for each violation.
