Which law applies to old priority disputes
This section says which version of the UCC applies to priority questions. If the parties' positions were set before July 1, 1979, the old UCC applies. Otherwise, the new UCC applies.

Except as otherwise provided in Article 11, old U.C.C. shall apply to any question of priority if the positions of the parties were fixed prior to the effective date of July 1, 1979. In other cases questions of priority shall be determined by the new U.C.C.
