HRS §490:2-514
When to hand over documents for a draft
This section says when the person who must pay a draft gets the documents that come with it. Unless the parties agree differently, if the draft is due more than three days after it is presented, the documents are given when the drawee accepts the draft. If the draft is due sooner, the documents are given only when the drawee pays.
