When a lease agreement is legally binding

A lease contract is valid and can be enforced as written between the people who signed it, against anyone who buys the leased goods, and against the creditors of either party, unless another part of this law says otherwise.

Except as otherwise provided in this article, a lease contract is effective and enforceable according to its terms between the parties, against purchasers of the goods, and against creditors of the parties.
