Buyers get goods free of warehouse claims

If a warehouse also sells the goods it stores, and you buy those goods from it in the normal way, you get them free of any claim based on a warehouse receipt. This is true even if the receipt is negotiable and has been properly transferred.

A buyer in ordinary course of business of fungible goods sold and delivered by a warehouse that is also in the business of buying and selling such goods takes the goods free of any claim under a warehouse receipt even if the receipt is negotiable and has been duly negotiated.
