Power of attorney must be registered

You can use a power of attorney to register, sell, or handle registered land, but the power of attorney document must be officially acknowledged and filed with the assistant registrar. Any document that cancels that power of attorney must also be acknowledged and registered the same way.

Any person may by attorney procure land to be registered and convey or otherwise deal with registered land, but the letters of attorney shall be acknowledged and filed or recorded with the assistant registrar and registered. Any instrument revoking such letters shall be acknowledged and registered in like manner.
