Paying for project inspections

The commission can inspect a project after it gets proper notice or extra information. The developer must pay the estimated inspection costs, up to $500 per day plus reasonable travel costs.

The statute, as written — Inspection by commission

(a) After appropriate notification has been made or additional information has been received pursuant to this part, an inspection of the project may be made by the commission. (b) When an inspection is to be made of a project, the developer shall be required to pay an amount estimated by the commission to be necessary to cover the actual expenses of the inspection, not to exceed $500 a day for each day consumed in the examination of the project, plus reasonable transportation expenses.
