Who is the lessor

This section defines who the "lessor" is for this part: the owner of the land or building who leases it, including any sublessor. It does not use the lessor definition from another section. This is just a definition, so it creates no duties or penalties.

As used in this part, unless the context requires otherwise: "Lessor" means any or all of the fee simple owners and other persons having legal or equitable ownership interests in the leased fee interest appurtenant to the various condominium units in the condominium project and in the various apartment and ground leases including, but not limited to, any sublessor. The definition of "lessor" in section 514C-1 shall not apply to this part.
