Your right to sue for violations of this law

This section says that if someone breaks this law and you are hurt by it, you can sue them in court for money damages. The law itself gives you a legal reason to file the lawsuit.

The statute, as written — Private right of action

Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to preclude a person aggrieved by a violation of this chapter from filing an action in court for civil damages. A violation of this chapter shall be deemed a cause of action for the purpose of the court action.
