Good faith required in all landlord-tenant duties

Every duty and required action under this law must be done honestly and fairly. This applies to both landlords and tenants when carrying out their responsibilities or enforcing their rights.

Every duty imposed by this chapter and every act which must be performed as a condition precedent to the exercise of a right or remedy under this chapter imposes an obligation of good faith in its performance or enforcement.
