Asking the federal government for missing unclaimed property reports

Every year on June 30, the state finance director must ask a federal official to send any information about unclaimed property that hasn't been reported yet. This section only covers that request, not what happens after.

On the thirtieth day of June of each year, the director shall request the Comptroller General or other proper officer of the United States to report all previously unreported information relating to unclaimed property as determined by that officer pursuant to federal law.
