State asks for unclaimed property and gives receipts

The finance director must ask for all unclaimed property that a court judgment says belongs to the State. The request must include a certified copy of the judgment and go to the U.S. officer or agency holding the property. The director must give receipts for anything received.

The director of finance shall request delivery or payment of all unclaimed property described in the judgment declaring the right of the State to receive custody of such property. The request shall be accompanied by a certified copy of said judgment and shall be directed to such officer, agency, or department of the United States as may have custody, possession or control of such property. The director shall furnish receipts for all property delivered or paid.
