Money agreement before marriage ends dower rights

If a future wife agrees to a financial arrangement instead of her dower rights, and she approves it as required by another law, she gives up her right to dower in all her husband's land.

Any pecuniary provision that is made for the benefit of an intended wife, and in lieu of her dower, shall, if assented to as provided in section 533-11, bar her right of dower in all the lands of her husband.
