Improvement by assessment for water systems

This section lets any county build water systems using the assessment method, even if other laws say otherwise. It also makes clear that a county or water board can still pay for the improvements with its own money instead.

The statute, as written — Improvement by assessment

Any other law to the contrary notwithstanding, any county may construct water systems by use of the improvement by assessment method, provided that nothing herein shall be construed to prevent any county or board of water supply from constructing the improvements with its own funds.
