Acquiring land for the water system

The county water board can buy, lease, or otherwise get property inside the county if it decides the property is needed to build, maintain, expand, or run the water system. This section only covers the board's power to acquire land.

The board of water supply may, in the name of the county, acquire and take by purchase, lease, or otherwise, all property situated within the limits of the county that it may determine necessary for the construction, maintenance, extension, or operation of the waterworks system.
