Giving gifts to a minor's custodian

This section lets someone make a permanent gift or use a power of appointment to give property to a custodian who will manage it for a minor, following the rules in another part of the law.

The statute, as written — Transfer by gift or exercise of power of appointment

A person may make a transfer by irrevocable gift to, or the irrevocable exercise of a power of appointment in favor of, a custodian for the benefit of a minor pursuant to section 553A-9.
