County leasing of commercial space in public parking facilities

This section lets a county council order its finance director to rent out space in public parking garages or lots for commercial use. nder the following circumstances: (1) Whenever the council deems it in the public interest and convenient or necessary in order to utilize properly the property as an off-street parking facility, it may require the leasing of space in any of the facilities for use by the lessee for the sale of gasoline and petroleum products, the sale of automobile accessories, automobile repair or service, or any other garage and fueling services. (2) Whenever the council deems it necessary and feasible for the financing or operation of public off-street parking facilities, it may require the leasing of portions of the facilities for any commercial use.
