When Hawaii courts can start or answer support cases

This section says that a Hawaii court can act in two ways in child support cases. It can start a case and send it to another state's court. It can also handle a case that was started in another state or country.

The statute, as written — Initiating and responding tribunal of State

Under this chapter, a tribunal of this State may serve as an initiating tribunal to forward proceedings to a tribunal of another state, and as a responding tribunal for proceedings initiated in another state or a foreign country.
