When a lawsuit can be filed for a debt from this chapter

This section sets a special deadline for suing over a debt created under this chapter. The lawsuit cannot start until the minor turns 18, and it must be filed within two years after that. It overrides other time limits.

The statute, as written — Limitation of actions

Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, an action to recover any debt founded upon any contract, obligation, or liability made pursuant to this chapter shall not commence until a minor has reached the age of majority, provided that said action shall commence within two years of the date a minor reaches the age of majority.
