How to deliver the petition and order

This section says that, unless another rule applies, the petition and order must be given to the respondent and anyone who physically has the child. You can use any legal way to deliver them in Hawaii.

The statute, as written — Service of petition and order

Except as otherwise provided in section 583A-311, the petition and order must be served, by any method authorized by the law of this State, upon respondent and any person who has physical custody of the child.
