Making the law consistent across states

This section says the law should be read and applied in a way that makes it consistent with similar laws in other states that have adopted it. It is a general rule for interpreting the whole chapter.

The statute, as written — Uniformity of interpretation

This chapter shall be so interpreted and construed as to effectuate its general purpose to make uniform the law of those states which enact it.
