Which courts can enforce arbitration agreements

This section says that a court in Hawaii with power over the case and the people involved can enforce an agreement to arbitrate. If the agreement says arbitration happens in Hawaii, that court has the exclusive right to turn the arbitration result into a court judgment.

The statute, as written — Jurisdiction

(a) A court of this State having jurisdiction over the controversy and the parties may enforce an agreement to arbitrate. (b) An agreement to arbitrate providing for arbitration in this State confers exclusive jurisdiction on the court to enter judgment on an award under this chapter.
