Court rules and serving the attorney general

This section says that lawsuits under this chapter must follow the regular court rules for civil cases. You must give the attorney general a certified copy of all court papers. Also, a rule from another law about certain claims applies here.

The statute, as written — Pleadings, trial and appeal

[(a)] The Hawaii rules of civil procedure and the district court rules of civil procedure as applicable shall be followed in any action under this chapter. A certified copy of all pleadings shall be duly served on the attorney general. (b) Section 661-2 shall apply to actions under this chapter.
