Who must attend medical panel meetings

This section says who has to show up at a medical inquiry panel meeting. Unless the panel lets them skip it, the people who filed the complaint, the health care provider being complained about (or their authorized representative, not a lawyer), and their lawyers must attend.

The statute, as written — Same; persons attending proceedings of panel

Unless excluded or excused by the panel, the following persons shall attend proceedings before the panel: (1) The party or parties submitting the inquiry; (2) The health care provider or providers against whom the inquiry is submitted or representatives thereof, other than counsel, authorized to act for the health care provider or providers; and (3) Counsel for the parties, if any.
