Contractors can still seek help from others for claims

This section says that the law in this chapter does not stop a contractor from trying to get money or protection from a subcontractor, supplier, or design professional if someone makes a claim against the contractor. It only protects the contractor's right to seek that help.

This chapter shall not interfere with a contractor's right to seek contribution, indemnity, or recovery against a subcontractor, supplier, or design professional for any claim made against a contractor by a claimant.
