HRS §706-661
Longer prison sentences for certain serious crimes
This section lets a court give a longer prison sentence to certain people who qualify under another law. The maximum sentence depends on the crime. The court must give the longest sentence allowed, and the parole board decides the minimum time for most of these sentences.
