First-degree computer fraud and its penalty

This section makes it a serious crime to knowingly get into a computer, computer system, or network with the intent to steal something valuable. The crime is called computer fraud in the first degree. It is a class A felony, which is the most serious type of felony in Hawaii.

(1) A person commits the offense of computer fraud in the first degree if the person knowingly accesses a computer, computer system, or computer network with the intent to commit the offense of theft in the first degree . (2) Computer fraud in the first degree is a class A felony.
