Courts must impose domestic violence intervention sentences

This section says that when a court sentences someone for domestic violence intervention under section 709-906, the court must impose that sentence, and it may do so with or without probation. This applies even if other laws say something different.

The statute, as written — Domestic violence intervention

Notwithstanding chapter 706 or any other law to the contrary, any sentence for domestic violence intervention specified by section 709-906 shall be imposed by the court, with or without probation.
