Second-degree gambling promotion and its penalty

This law makes it a crime to carelessly help gambling happen or make money from it. If you do this, you can be charged with a serious felony. The section also sets the punishment level for this crime.

The statute, as written — Promoting gambling in the second degree

(1) A person commits the offense of promoting gambling in the second degree if the person negligently advances or profits from gambling activity. (2) Promoting gambling in the second degree is a class C felony.
