Where a forfeiture case can be filed

This section says where a property forfeiture lawsuit can be filed. It can be filed in the county where the property was taken, or in any county where the owner or someone with an interest in the property could be sued for the conduct that led to the forfeiture.

An action brought pursuant to this chapter may be brought in the county which the property is seized or in any county where an owner or interest-holder could be complained against for the conduct alleged to give rise to the forfeiture of the property.
