Agencies must work together for crime victims

This section requires all parts of the criminal justice system, like prosecutors, police, social services, and courts, to cooperate. They must work together so that crime victims and witnesses get the rights and services the law gives them.

The statute, as written — Intergovernmental cooperation

The county prosecutor, the police, local social service agencies, the courts, and all other agencies involved in the criminal justice system shall all cooperate with each other to ensure that victims and witnesses of crime receive the rights and services to which they are entitled under this chapter.
