If one part is invalid, the rest still stands

This section says that if a court finds one part of this law invalid, the other parts still work. It applies to any person or situation. The law is designed so that each part can stand on its own.

The statute, as written — Severability

If any portion or subsection of this part or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other sections or applications of the part which can be given effect without the invalid section or application, and to this end the provisions of this part are declared to be severable.
