Taking weapons from a person being arrested

When someone makes an arrest, they can take any weapons the arrested person is carrying. The arresting person must give those weapons to a judge or court official, who will handle them according to the law.

He who makes an arrest may take from the party arrested all offensive weapons which he may have about his person, and shall deliver them to the magistrate, to be disposed of according to law.
