Arresting officer must give a copy of the complaint

When an officer arrests someone under this law, the officer must show the original complaint and then hand the accused person a copy of it. This rule makes sure the accused knows what they are charged with.

In executing the warrant of arrest as provided in section 805-1, the arresting officer shall hand to the accused a copy of the complaint after showing the accused the original.
