How deputy coroners are appointed

This section lets the coroner choose deputy coroners from the staff in the coroner's department to help with the coroner's work. The coroner decides how many deputies are needed.

The coroner may appoint as many deputy coroners as the coroner may deem necessary to aid the coroner in the discharge of the coroner's duties as coroner from amongst the subordinates in the coroner's department.
