Trustee pay and expenses

Trustees work for free, but the fund can pay them back for reasonable costs they spend doing the fund's work. This section only covers trustee pay and expense reimbursement.

The statute, as written — Compensation and expenses

Each trustee shall serve without compensation, but the trustees may be reimbursed from the fund for any reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out the purposes of the fund.
